DRDO

Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is responsible for development of technology for use by the military and is headquartered in New Delhi, India.

It was formed in 1958, by the merger of Technical Development Establishment and the Directorate of Technical Development and Production with the Defence Science Organisation.



IGMDP

The Integrated Guided Missile Development Programme (IGMDP) was started in 1983, for the development of a comprehensive range of missiles including the intermediate range, Agni Missile (surface to surface) and short range missiles Prithvi Ballistic Missile (surface to surface), Akash Missile (surface to air), Trishul Missile (surface to air) and Nag Missile (anti tank).
