GREEN HOUSE EFFECT and GLOBAL WARMING

- The greenhouse gas (GHG) is a gas in the atmosphere that absorbs and emitits radiation within the thermal infrared range. The process is the fundamental cause of the greenhouse effect.
- The primary greenhouse gases in the earth's atmosphere are water vapour, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide and ozone.
- Global Warming It's the increase of earth's avarage surface temperature, due to effect of greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide emissions from burning fossil fuels or from deforestation. This is a type of greenhouse effect.
- Kyoto Protocol The Kyoto protocol is a protocol to the United Nations framework convention on climate change (UNFCCC), aimed at fighting global warming, adopted in 1997.

Ozone Layer : The Blanket Of Globe

- The ozone layer is located within the stratosphere, about 24 km above the earth's surface. The layer consist of ozone gas molecules that are formed as the sunlight reacts with oxygen.
- The ozone layer is very important as it protects life on Earth by filtering the sun's dangerous ultraviolet radiation.
- Due to increased pollution on Earth, chemicals such as chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) are destroyed this protective ozone layer, which could lead to increased health risks and damage agricultural and acquatic ecosystem.
